Ingredients
- 3 cups sugar to 1 tin condensed milk
- ¼ lb.(125 g) butter
- Fill condensed milk tin a third with water to rinse it out. Stir the water to rinse out properly
- Vanilla essence
Method
- Bring all ingredients gradually to the boil, stirring occasionally
- When boiling fast keep stirring all the while to prevent burning
- This takes about ¾ hour
- When fudge gets to a shiny stage or just leaves sides and bottom of pot when tipped on side, remove from heat and beat well
- Put into greased pan to set and cut into squares
- If cooked too long fudge will get sugary
